Maria Thrän
Overhead- Light/Sound Installation
Fine needled illustrations in black cardboard lie on the projection surface of the overhead.
Following the first level, which is illustrative, is the second level of abstract projection on man, wall, and objects. The work "Point of view" explores the shifting of the limits of consciousness and the relationship between body and space.
Through the conscious and unconscious interaction due to ones individual movement in the space, the observer * becomes part of the whole and creates an individual point of view.
"Point of view II" – an analogous movement projected; Produced by a water-filled basin, which is placed on the projector. Two fans stimulate the water to trigger twisting curents and swirls. And so the projections and light points begin to swim, wattle and wander. Perception, the starting point – which is transmitted into to the exhibition space.
